Our Services

This site is owned and operated by Moneycope. We are not a Lender or Provider and therefore We will not provide finance directly to You; We provide an online credit broking service, We will introduce You to Providers of financial services. By submitting an application through Our form or Comparison Site You will be giving Your consent for Moneycope to match Your application with one of the Providers on Our panel. If You apply via Our online form, We will present Your application in real-time to one or more of Our Providers based on their criteria until such time as one of Our Providers accepts Your application or all Providers decline Your application. If a Provider accepts Your application, You will be forwarded to a page on the Provider’s Website that they have requested We direct You to, or if the Provider does not work online We may present You with a screen that gives You information and contact details relating to the Provider that accepts You. It is important to understand that We will only forward You to a Provider that has looked at Your application and accepted it as one they believe there is a good chance they can provide a loan or relevant services to You, (if You have submitted an online form application), or We will only display to You a Provider that is relevant to your search, (if You have used our Comparison Site). It is also important to understand that We may be paid a fee by the Provider for introducing You to them.

There is no obligation for You to take up the service with them. You should read their conditions carefully and make a responsible decision on whether You believe their service is right for You. You will be signing a legally binding credit agreement when if you accept their terms. If You have any questions or are unsure You should contact the Provider before taking out any service or loan with them.

Any examples of amounts available to claim, borrow, terms (repayment periods), or rates stated on the Provider Websites are purely given as a representative example relating to the product. These representative examples are stated to give You an understanding of the products available. Representative examples are not given as a figure of what You will actually be offered by the Lender/Finance Provider, therefore, cannot be given as a guarantee nor can they be used as any kind of warranty. As We do not provide the loan or financial service directly to You We are unable to control the representative rate examples contained on the Website. Please also be aware that the decision to offer any loan or financial service is made by the Lender or Finance Provider and We have no control over the decision-making.

The Lender/Finance Provider will conduct an assessment on You before any decision or offer is made; this may include a full assessment of Your credit history both past and present.

Information about You (including Your visits to the Website)

We will only process information about You in accordance with the Privacy Policy. When You use Our website and form You consent to us processing Your personal information and therefore warrant that all information/data provided by You is accurate and correct. Please familiarise yourself with the details within our Privacy Policy prior to submitting your application.

Applying with us

You need to submit an application with us to access the full range of our services, including:

-access to a free credit report and credit score service

-tailored information about your borrowing ability

-energy comparison and switching.

-Discount offers and promotions

-Phone and data deals

When you register, you must give us true, accurate, current, and complete information about yourself. The results we show you are based mainly on the information you provide. If you don’t keep your information up to date, your results are likely to be less accurate. We recommend that you update your account information regularly, and as soon as possible if something important changes (e.g. your address or income or outgoings). You can update your information easily on moneycope.com

Product offers

We’ll show you credit cards, loans, phones, mortgages, and other products for consumers.

Your results for credit products are based on our unique algorithm, which considers factors such as:

your credit profile;

your eligibility score;

the features of the products; and

lender reliability.

We sort your offers based on their features and the information that you have provided. Although we may be paid commission, this never influences how your offers are ranked.

Our relationship with partners

We work with partners to present their products and related offers to you and to allow you to apply for products on the partners’ websites.

Not all partners featured on our website and app provide eligibility information, so you might see products listed that have no information about your likelihood of being accepted for them. Even if your tailored results indicate that you are likely to be accepted for a product, this is not a guarantee that you will be accepted. The partner is entirely responsible for deciding whether to accept you, using its own acceptance criteria. The exception is where we indicate that you are “pre-approved” for a credit product (e.g. for a credit card or loan). In those cases, you are definitely eligible for the product, but your application is still subject to passing the relevant lender or credit broker’s checks, for example, fraud, ID, vehicle checks, and responsible lending checks.

We’ll pre-populate partner application forms for you

If you click to apply for a certain product, we sometimes pass your information to that partner to pre-populate the application form and to make the process quicker for you.

What happens if you are an existing customer of a partner

When a partner assesses your eligibility for products, it may also tell us if you are an existing customer because that fact might influence your eligibility for additional products from the same partner. Being an existing customer could reduce your eligibility for additional products from that partner, or it might mean that you are pre-selected to see additional offers. It depends on the partner’s policies.

What partners tell us about your application

If you leave our website and app to apply for a product with a partner, the partner may tell us later if your application was successful, referred or declined. We use that information to:

calculate the commissions that we are due;

to personalize the service to you;

to send you service messages (for example, if an energy supplier declines your application to switch, we will email you to tell you why, and what to do next);

to help us understand our customers, improve our service, and to inform our marketing strategy (i.e. research and development).

What happens when you apply for a product?

We can’t influence partner decisions about you. If you want to apply for a product, you can do so by following the link from the website to the relevant partner’s website.

We don’t control the partner’s website, so we can’t be responsible for any personal data that the partner collects, stores and uses through their website without our involvement. You should always read the privacy notice of each website you visit carefully and before you submit any personal data to the partner.
